Kirby Sewell
Kirby Sewell is a powerhouse in Calgary’s vibrant music scene, known for his commanding voice and electrifying stage presence.
As a blues artist with a soulful edge, Sewell’s music is a compelling blend of raw emotion, masterful storytelling, and dynamic instrumentation.
His larger-than-life persona and heartfelt performances have earned him a dedicated following and critical acclaim.
Kirby has said that he has found new joy in returning to musical roots and is reviving old standards and adding new music to round out the trio’s repertoire.
Kirby was the 2016 Maple Blues Awards New Artist of the Year.
The trio features Kirby on vocals with Jerry Proppe on piano and vocals and Jeff Meszaros on guitar and vocals.
