Johnny O Band
The Johnny O. Band is a smokin’ band out of Boulder, Colorado. With funky grooves and high energy jams, their music is both captivating and danceable. The band plays many originals as well as some great songs by blues masters of the past.
Johnny O has been entertaining regional and international crowds for over three decades. With a soulful voice, crafty guitar work and compelling original music he has built a solid reputation as a band leader and front man.
Going strong for 22 years, the Johnny O. Band maintains a firm foothold on the Colorado music scene. In the past two decades Johnny O has toured in Brazil, all across Europe and recently played shows in Canada and Mexico. The band has opened up for the Allman Brothers, Taj Mahal, Buddy Miles and Jimmy Vaughn, among others.
Placing first place in the Colorado blue societies IBC competition, once with the Johnny O. Band and once as a soloist, Johnny O has gone down to Memphis Tennessee three times to represent Colorado Blues at the international blues challenge.
In recent years Johnny O has balanced his rigorous performance schedule and blues playing with his work in the studio as an engineer and independent producer.
